Willow Brown LAc, CMT, Birth Doula

Willow has been actively involved in the healing arts since 2000 when she became a yoga instructor after practicing with her grandmother since the age of 12. She began teaching Pilates in 2005 and is also trained and certified in Qi Gong instruction. She has been administering bodywork of various styles since 2001, and understands the many complex layers one has to work through in order to heal and bring the body into balance.

In 2003 Willow was trained and certified as a Doula (labor and delivery coach). Her presence and care are reassuring to the whole family as well as the primary care providers. With emotional, physical and informational support you are likely to have a more positive birthing process, regardless of previous birth experience.

After studying massage and healing in California, Willow traveled extensively throughout Asia and has had the opportunity to learn many different modalities of asian bodywork as well as western therapies. In 2008 she became a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist.

Give yourself the gift of your own body. Through a practice of Yoga, Pilates or Qi Gong you will find yourself relishing in proper alignment, greater flexibility and more energy, strength, stamina, and stability. Develop a healthy body and mind to aid in healing and preventing injuries or illness.

Experience a sense of centeredness, openness and core strength that will extend through not only your body but your life as well.

Experience giving birth with the assistance of a Doula who is trained and certified in the birthing process. She will provide information and support to you and your family for an optimal birth experience. Doula’s are said to reduce the length of labor by 25%, with fewer complications, decrease cesarean rates by 50%, as well as the request for pain medication by 30%, and epidurals by 60%. Our bodies are our temples and vehicles through life. In order to help maintain and keep them in good health it is important to open the channels of energy, release tension, and soften tissues. Willow offers a holistic approach to her bodywork. Through various massage modalities she integrates healing and relaxation into the body and mind. These techniques work to open the muscles and meridians, promote circulation of (qi) life energy and promote healthy function of visceral organs.

She offers: Acupuncture, and Acupuncture/Massage Combination, Thai Massage, Swedish / deep tissue, Cranial Sacral, Polarity, Pre-natal / Post-partum, Breema, Chi Nei Tsang, and Tuina.
