Philippe Vignal is a certified body therapist in California. After 20 years in advertising, Philippe Vignal decided to change his professional life and devote himself to his true calling, Manual Therapies. Philippe studied Osteopathy and massage in Europe (Spain). He learnt the Mézières Method from René Daubagna (D.O. France) with whom he also studied Cranial Osteopathy. He did a three year Qi-Gong instructor training with Dr. Yves Requena (M.D. France) with an emphasis on medical Qi-Gong. In California Philippe trained in Polarity with Larry Bernstein at the Cypress Health Institute.
Philippe’s therapeutic session is based on the Mézières Method. Sacro Cranial therapy, massage and Polarity are an integral part of his work. Depending on the need of the client, Philippe combines these techniques in order to achieve concrete therapeutic results. At the age of 11 Philippe met Ejo Takata, a Japanese monk who practiced acupuncture, this awoke his interest in the healing arts. Later as a teenager growing up in L.A., Philippe practiced Tai-Chi and explored Shiatsu, Iridology, nutrition and meditation.
When he was 19, Philippe moves to Paris where he studied Fine Arts and then worked in advertising for different European companies. At the same time, Philippe kept practicing meditation, yoga and Aikido. After spending 25 years in Europe, Philippe relocated to Santa Cruz two years ago with his wife and their three children. He now practices at the Santa Cruz Integrative Medicine and Chi Center and feels that living and working here is a blessing. |
